Seth’s Family Heirloom

What a great before and after story with this putter.  Gotta hand it to Seth for taking a somewhat tired looking family heirloom of a putter and  breathing life into it for a new generation.  You have a great brother there Lids…

Here’s some pictures of a putter that used to be my mom’s WAY back in the day.  The grip was split, the head was rusted and moldy, and the paint was chipped.  I decided to give it a little refinishing and new paint job.  I had never done anything like this before and it wasn’t being used, so I thought, “hey, why not give it a make over and give it to my sister (nickname “Lids” hence the name on the back) and give it to her for her birthday.”  So I removed the head, the grip and paint, buffed it to a shiny brass color and gave it a red grip and painted it red with pink flowers.  I thought it looked pretty cool and it actually feels nice stroking some putts!  I hope you enjoy it as much as she did!

Thanks for the opportunity to share,
Seth

    • Thanks! It was pretty fun to do and she was super pumped about it!

  2. That looks awesome. Well done. You can tell you have a steady hand to get all that detailing perfect. It must reflect in your golf game!

    • Some close to me may say I’m a bit of a perfectionist…
