RIck’s Nead G-Weld

Our Putter of the Day is another sweet Nead from Rick.  Anyone know more about the Nascar connection with Gene Nead?

  1. Nead was born into a family of racers and at the age of 15, began building and racing dirt modified cars. He started his own chassis company in Philadelphia before making the move to North Carolina in 1993. He was offered his first job as crew chief with NASCAR driver/owner Phil Parsons in 1996 in the Nationwide Series.

    Prior to his stint at MWR, Nead served as lead engineer on Bill Davis Racing’s Cup Series effort. His greatest success, however, came in Truck Series competition. Working for Ultra Motorsports, Nead led driver Ted Musgrave to 11 top-five finishes and 15 top-10s en route to the 2005 series championship.
