MannKrafted Monday: The 044 eGolf Tour Putter

Congrats to LaMont for getting one of his sticks in a tour bag.  Awesome!

This is one of the sweetest mallets I have made, to date and has the potential to be one of the best sellers in my company’s short history.

The “044” was a concept brought to me by Chris Kamin, PGA Tour Professional and through several meetings and grindings, we hit what he was looking for, right on the button.

It is 1018 carbon steel, throughout and has a gorgeous misted black oxide finish. The weight was brought down to 346 grams, with the last amount taken off in the ports you might see on the sole of the putter. These ports also allowed me to put the sweetspot, right on the center of the T-style site line, requested by Chris, as well.

It has seen duty in his bag and I am hoping that the birdies continue as his comfort level with it grows after each round.

Keep your eyes on my site as it is changing in the near future and the offerings there will go from all CNC hybrid models to a much better blend of hand mades and hybrids.

Thanks to Dave and for the chance to show what MannKrafted has to offer.

Chris Kamin put the “044” in the bag on Monday for its maiden journey into professional play. Each round seemed to get better and when the dust settled after four rounds of The Championship at Wintergreen Resort, an eGolf Tour event, the total was 24 birdies and 2 eagles!

This was good enough for a T-8 and a decent check for the week. I am not saying that it was all due to the “044”, but have you ever heard of a round with those numbers and NOT having some sort of a hot putter? :-).

Congratulations to Chris Kamin and thanks for trusting MannKrafted enough to put your putter making in our hands.
